TORONTO, Ontario (AP) -- Police are investigating the death of a man on a flight from Moscow to Toronto after an alleged altercation aboard the plane.

Passengers on board the Aeroflot flight that landed at Toronto's Pearson International Airport at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday say the man had been drinking heavily, and had argued with several people before he was escorted to the front of the plane, where he died, authorities said.

Police are conducting an autopsy to find out if alcohol was a factor in the man's death, Const. Samantha Nulle said Thursday.

They are interviewing passengers to investigate claims of an altercation between two or more men on board, she said.

Nulle said police had not yet identified the man.

Authorities at the Toronto airport would not comment on the incident. E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend
